| English abstract | Archive documents have been increasingly used in films. This use can be justified by the evidence and testimony values of the documents to which their capacity to thrill and to give people a sense of identity, belonging and memory can be added. Used in the films that approach the Brazilian military dictatorship in different ways, the archival documents add to the narrative their artistic capacity, the proof and the emotion present in the archives, as well as their historical and informative character, in order to stimulate in the spectators, the resumption of memories of the time of repression. The research analyzes the Brazilian filmography between 1985 and 2014 that used archival documents. The temporal cut allows the study from the moment of redemocratization until two years after the promulgation of the Law on Access to Information and the Law that created the National Commission of Truth. The methodological procedures consisted in collecting data about the films in a form of film analysis and the application of questionnaire to the directors of the selected films. It concludes that during the analyzed period there was an increase in the use of archival documents in both documentaries and fiction. He observes that this resource allows the reconstruction of previously unknown memories, silenced and marginalized against the memory of the dominant groups |
| Portuguese abstract | Os documentos de arquivo vêm sendo cada vez mais utilizados em filmes. Esse uso pode ser justificado pelos valores de prova e de testemunho dos documentos aos quais pode ser acrescentada a sua capacidade de emocionar e de oferecer às pessoas um sentimento de identidade, de pertencimento e de memória. Utilizados nos filmes que abordam de diversas maneiras a ditadura militar brasileira, os documentos de arquivo acrescentam à narrativa sua capacidade artística, a prova e a emoção presentes nos arquivos, além de seu caráter histórico e informativo, de maneira a estimular nos espectadores a retomada de memórias sobre a época da repressão. A pesquisa analisa a filmografia brasileira entre 1985 e 2014 que utilizou documentos de arquivo. O recorte temporal permite o estudo a partir do momento da redemocratização até dois anos após a promulgação da Lei de Acesso à Informação e da Lei que criou a Comissão Nacional da Verdade. Os procedimentos metodológicos consistiram na coleta de dados sobre os filmes em um formulário de análise fílmica e da aplicação de questionário aos diretores dos filmes selecionados. Conclui que, no período analisado, houve um aumento do uso de documentos de arquivo tanto em documentários como em ficções. Observa que esse recurso permite a reconstrução de memórias até então desconhecidas, silenciadas e marginalizadas frente a memória dos grupos dominantes |
