| English abstract | Reports search results on document ordering in libraries. It consists of descriptive research, of qualitative approach, carried out by means of study and analysis of the literature and visit to three libraries. In the research, it was identified that there is no consensus on the types of methods and forms of ordering, and there are several alternatives. Based on the studies, a typology of ordering, arranging or organizing documents in non-digital / virtual libraries was proposed, in which are: the fixed order, the formal arrangement (their respective subdivisions) and the systematic arrangement, pointing out the positive points and negatives of each type |
| Portuguese abstract | Relata resultado de pesquisa sobre ordenamento de documentos em bibliotecas. Consiste em pesquisa descritiva, de abordagem qualitativa, realizada por meio de estudo e análise da literatura e visita a três bibliotecas. Na pesquisa foi identificado que não há consenso quanto aos tipos de métodos e formas de ordenação, encontrando-se diversas alternativas. Com base nos estudos foi proposta uma tipologia de ordenamento, arranjo ou organização de documentos em bibliotecas não digitais/virtuais, na qual encontram-se: a ordem fixa, o arranjo formal (suas respectivas subdivisões) e o arranjo sistemático, apontando os pontos positivos e negativos de cada tipo |
