| Spanish abstract | Introduction: The production of information grows every day around the world; concerned with the aspects that surround the treatment, organization and access to it, the Information Science arises. Therefore, the information studied here will be exclusively those of Civil Registry, which relate to those that record the civil life cycle of the citizen from birth to death. In this bias and bearing in mind the informational range produced by the units responsible for these civil registries, the National Council of Justice instituted, in 2014, the Registry Office for Natural Persons (CRC). This center has features such as the issuance of certificates, communications by electronic means, and the possibility of searching one office in the collection of another. Objectives: The objective is to survey the possible forms of access to information, provided by the CRC to citizens and to the notary's offices. Methodology: applies to qualitative and exploratory research. As for the procedures, the bibliographic research was used in the theoretical basis, and the documentary, for the analysis of the legislation that governs the civil registry and CRC in Brazil. Results: It is possible to identify that each of the functionalities presents improvements in the access to the information. Conclusions: Despite better access, some points of reflection regarding this "access" are raised |

| Portuguese abstract | Introdução: A produção de informação cresce a cada dia em todo o mundo; na preocupação com os aspectos que circundam o tratamento, organização e acesso a ela, configura-se a Ciência da Informação. Neste corpus, as informações aqui estudadas serão exclusivamente as de Registro Civil, que dizem respeito àquelas que registram o ciclo da vida civil do cidadão desde seu nascimento até seu óbito. Nesse viés e tendo em mente a gama informacional produzida pelas unidades responsáveis por esses registros civis, o Conselho Nacional de Justiça instituiu, em 2014, a Central de Informações de Registro Civil das Pessoas Naturais - CRC. Essa Central apresenta funcionalidades como, emissão de certidões, comunicações por meio eletrônico, além da possibilidade de buscas de um cartório no acervo de outro. Objetivos: Objetiva-se o levantamento das possíveis formas de acesso à informação, proporcionadas pela CRC aos cidadãos e aos próprios cartórios. Metodologia: aplica-se à pesquisa qualitativa e exploratória. Quanto aos procedimentos, foram utilizadas a pesquisa bibliográfica na fundamentação teórica e, a documental, para a análise da legislação que rege o registro civil e a CRC no Brasil. Resultados: É possível identificar que cada uma das funcionalidades apresenta melhorias no acesso à informação. Conclusões: Apesar de melhores formas de acesso, são levantados alguns pontos de reflexão a respeito desse “acesso” |
