| Spanish abstract | Con el fin de ofrecer una visión panorámica de la historiografía de la Independencia, se propone aquí comentar la producción bibliográ!ca más reciente e importante sobre el tema. Para ello, el artículo centra su atención en los estudios que brindan una perspectiva general del fenómeno histórico, sin dejar de lado el análisis de las hipótesis, los métodos y los enfoques que los caracterizan. En un primer apartado se estudian las obras cuyo propósito principal era criticar el paradigma historiográ!co tradicional –aquel que se interesaba únicamente en crear héroes y hechos memorables–. En el segundo acápite se examinan los estudios que destacaron el papel que desempeñó el primer constitucionalismo hispano como verdadero impulsor de la Independencia |
| English abstract | In order to offer a panoramic vision of the Independence historiography, this article comments the most important bibliography on the topic. To achieve this, the article centre its attention on the studies that offer a general perspective of the historical phenomenon, without forgetting the deep and critical analysis of the hypotheses, the methods and the approaches that characterize them. In its first part, it studies the works that criticize the traditional historiography paradigm –that one interested merely on creating heroes and memorable facts–. In the second title, it examines the studies that emphasized the paper that played the first hispanic constitutionalism as the true key Independence mover |
