| Spanish abstract | El artículo analiza el proceso revolucionario en el municipio de Pahuatlán, ubicado en la Sierra Norte de Puebla (México), en el período de 1911 a 1914. El objetivo es aprehender las particularidades de ese espacio para conocer el impacto que tuvo en la vida cotidiana de sus habitantes. Las preguntas que dirigieron la investigación fueron: ¿cómo llega la Revolución en Pahuatlán? ¿Qué motivos impulsaron a los pahuatecos a formar parte del proceso revolucionario? ¿Cómo afectó su participación en la vida cotidiana? Asimismo, partimos de la hipótesis de que la participación pahuateca se debió a la intentona de los líderes políticos regionales para ejecutar los mandatos del Estado liberal en términos que fueran localmente aceptables; es decir, elaboraron una agenda local que proporcionara estabilidad política y social en el municipio basada en la defensa de la autonomía local, y no en la necesidad de una reivindicación agraria. A partir de un enfoque local, observamos cómo las características específicas que adquirió el movimiento revolucionario en Pahuatlán guardan una estrecha relación con lo acontecido a nivel nacional y estatal |
| English abstract | The article analyzes the revolutionary process in the municipality of Pahuatlán, located in the Sierra Norte de Puebla (Mexico), from 1911 to 1914. The objective is to understand the particularities of this space to know the impact it had on the daily life of its inhabitants. The questions that led the investigation were: How does the Revolution arrive in Pahuatlán? What motivated the pahuatecos to be part of the revolutionary process? How did your participation in daily life affect you? Likewise, we assume that Pahuateca's participation was due to the attempt of the regional political leaders to execute the mandates of the liberal state in terms that were locally acceptable; That is to say, they elaborated a local agenda that provided political and social stability in the municipality based on the defense of the local autonomy, and not in the necessity of an agrarian claim. From a local perspective, we observe how the specific characteristics acquired by the revolutionary movement in Pahuatlán are closely related to what happened at the national and state levels |
