| Spanish abstract | El presente trabajo se refiere a la actividad metalúrgica artesano-industrial estimulada por la especialización viti-vinícola en San Juan desde sus comienzos. Se considera la participación de inmigrantes europeos en el origen de los talleres metalúrgicos reparadores y productores de instrumentos demandados por las bodegas y destilerías industriales, incorporadoras de una tecnología no existente en la región e importada de países europeos vitiviní-colas. Se tiene en cuenta los talleres más representativos y algunos de los problemas que debieron enfrentar los metalúrgicos para llevar adelante su trabajo. Se indaga acerca de otras actividades económicas en las que incur-sionaron algunos fundadores y propietarios de talleres en el período abordado |
| English abstract | This paper refers to the artisan-industrial metallurgical activity stimulated by wine specialization in San Juan since its beginnings. It considers the participation of European immigrants in the origin of repairers and producers workshops of metal instruments demanded by industrial wineries and distilleries, incorporating a nonexistent technology in the region which was imported from European wine countries. It takes into account the most representative workshops and some of the problems these metallurgists have faced to carry out their work. We inquire about other economic activities in which some founders and owners of workshops ventured during the approached period |
