| English abstract | The present study aims to identify, in the Brazilian scientific production, the presence of “sports” thematic in Physics teaching. More specifically, the study analyses articles from national journals in order to verify how sport has been used as a resource for teaching Physics contents. Hence, a selection was made of journals available online with Qualis A1, A2, B1, and B2 in the evaluation system of Capes (Coordination for the Improvement of Higher Education Personnel), Field of Education, from 2005 to 2014. From the universe of 3,923 articles researched, nine of them presented some type of relation between Physics and sport. These articles were analyzed and rated so to identify the interest focus of the research as well as the didactic situation to which they refer. | Portuguese abstract | O presente trabalho tem por objetivo identificar, na produção científica brasileira, a presença da temática “esporte” no ensino de Física. De forma mais específica, o estudo analisa artigos de periódicos nacionais de modo a verificar como o esporte tem sido utilizado como subsídio para ensinar conteúdos de Física. Para tanto, selecionou-se periódicos disponíveis on-line com Qualis A1, A2, B1, e B2 no sistema de avaliação da Capes, Área de Ensino, no período de 2005 a 2014. Do universo de 3.923 artigos investigados, nove apresentaram algum tipo de relação entre a Física e o esporte. Tais artigos foram analisados e classificados de modo a se identificar o foco de interesse da investigação, bem como a situação didática a que ele se re- fere.
