| Spanish abstract | El estudio de la tecnología en las organizaciones ha pasado por un declive en las últimas décadas incluso frente a la gran expansión de las tecnologías de la información y las tecnologías de la revolución microelectrónica. Aunque existen referentes que hablan del papel central de la tecnología en la sociedad del conocimiento y la era de la información, surgen diversas limitaciones en los escasos estudios que han abordado la temática desde una posición tradicional. Recientemente la perspectiva denominada bajo el término de sociomaterialidad ha tomado mayor popularidad para apuntar nuevamente el foco hacia la tecnología en su aspecto material trayendo consigo toda una variedad de temáticas que hasta entonces se encontraban abandonadas dentro de los estudios sobre tecnología y organizaciones |
| English abstract | The research of technology in organizations has passed by a decline since the last decades even in front of the big expansion of the information technologies and the microelectronic revolution. Although exist many referents which talk about of the central role of technology in knowledge society and in the information era emerge many limitations in the few studies that had tackled the issue from the traditional view. Recently the perspective under the name of sociomateriality has increased popularity to focus again on the technology’s material dimension bringing with it a whole new diversity of topics that were neglected in the studies on technology and organizations |
