| Spanish abstract | El presente estudio comprende la evaluación geológica del Predio de Basaltos Ubicado en la comunidad del Junco, en San Francisco del Rincón, Guanajuato. El banco de material se localiza aproximadamente a 1.5 km del poblado El Junco, teniendo una infraestructura excelente. Petrográficamente, es un basalto de textura fina holocristalina de composición intermedia a máfica, son lavas que presentan cierto fracturamiento. La roca presenta una resistencia a la compresión simple de 850 kg/cm2 , lo que constituye un material apto para la construcción; la densidad del material alcanzó los 2.62 t/m3 . Se aplicaron métodos geológicos y geofísicos para la determinación de las reservas, bloqueando un total de 2’795,800 m3 con una certidumbre del 85% |
| English abstract | The following study includes the geological evaluation of the basaltic property located in the Junco community in San Francisco de Rincón, Guanajuato. The construction material bank is located approximately 1.5 km from El Junco village, presenting an excellent infrastructure. The petrography is designated as a fine texture holocrystalline basalt with a medium to mafic composition, they are determinated as lavas with some fracturing. The rock has a compressive strength of 850 kg/cm2 which make it suitable for construction purposes; the density of the material reaches 2.63 ton/m3 . Geological and geophysical metods were applied for the estimation of stockpiles, with a total blocking of 2'795, 800 m3 with a certainty of 85% |
