| English abstract | What are the relations of the municipal government of São Paulo with human rights? This inquiry is central to this reflection. This article deals with the interfaces between geography and human rights education in the territory of São Paulo, a world city. The methodology prioritized the qualitative research with interviews, however, with a bibliographical review about the theoretical interfaces between political geography and human rights. The results of the research revealed that there have been advances in the training and / or training of public servants, especially the teachers of the municipal education network of São Paulo, regarding Human Rights Education |
| Portuguese abstract | Quais as relações do governo municipal de São Paulo com os direitos humanos? Essa indagação é central nesta reflexão. Este artigo trata das interfaces entre geografia e educação em direitos humanos no território de São Paulo, cidade mundial. A metodologia priorizou a pesquisa qualitativa com entrevistas, porém, com revisão bibliográfica acerca das interfaces teóricas entre geografia política e direitos humanos. Os resultados da pesquisa revelaram que houve avanços no tocante ao processo de formação e/ou capacitação dos servidores públicos, em especial os professores da rede municipal de Educação de São Paulo, a respeito da Educação em Direitos Humanos |
