Spanish abstract | El propósito de este estudio fue evaluar la prevalencia de síntomas de ansiedad y depresión en la fase de aislamiento en la Unidad de Trasplante de Médula Ósea (UTMO) del Instituto Nacional de Cancerología de México. Se seleccionaron 7 pacientes, los cuales fueron evaluados durante la fase de hospitalización mediante la escala de Depresión y Ansiedad Hospitalaria (HADS). La evaluación se realizó en tres momentos del tratamiento, un día después del trasplante (T1), 15 días después del trasplante (T2) y un día antes del alta hospitalaria (T3). Encontrándose que 28.6% de los pacientes presentaron síntomas de ansiedad en T1 y T3. Mientras que la depresión disminuyó entre el T1 (28.6%) y T3 (14.3%). Al realizar el Análisis de Varianza de Friedman no se encontraron diferencias significativas en la prevalencia de síntomas de ansiedad y depresión. Por lo que se concluye que la atención de Psicooncología debe ser continua durante el proceso de tratamiento |
English abstract | The purpose of this study was to assess the prevalence of anxiety and depression symptoms at the isolation stage in the bone marrow transplant unit (BMTU) of Instituto Nacional de Cancerología de México. 7 Patients were selected, which were evaluated during the hospitalization by the scale of Hospital Anxiety and Depression (HADS). It took place in three stages of treatment, one day after the transplant (T1), 15 days after transplantation (T2) and one day prior to discharge (T3). 28.6% of the patients showed symptoms of anxiety in T1 and T3. While, depression decreased between T1 (28.6%) and T3 (14.3%). But when conducting the Friedman analysis of variance significant differences were not found in the prevalence of anxiety and depression symptoms. Therefore the conclusion is that the attention on behalf of Psychooncology should be continuous during the treatment process |
