| Spanish abstract | El cáncer de mama relacionado con el embarazo es una entidad poco común. Aunque desconocidos de manera inicial, en la actualidad se conocen mucho mejor los efectos secundarios que pueden lesionar al feto. Hoy día se dispone de evidencia científica para el uso de estudios de imagen, pruebas citotóxicas y radioterapia y se han descrito los riesgos quirúrgicos del feto al exponerse a dichas herramientas. El tratamiento para estos pacientes es multidisciplinario y en él intervienen diferentes especialistas para reducir las complicaciones o los riesgos potenciales. La decisión final deben tomarla los padres o, en su defecto la madre, asesorados siempre por personal calificado que puede determinar si continuar el embarazo o interrumpirlo, cuando sea el caso. Si la gestación se ha resuelto, la paciente debe atenderse de acuerdo con las normas aplicadas a las personas con cáncer de mama y la lactancia materna se evita cuando está indicado. No se recomienda el uso de nuevos tratamientos si no se cuenta con evidencia científica de los efectos posibles sobre la madre y el feto, cuando el cáncer de mama aparece en estas circunstancias |
| English abstract | The breast cancer, associated to the pregnancy, is a not very common entity. At the moment, the knowledge about the secondary effects that can be caused to the fetus is bigger and that in a beginning they were ignored. In our days we have evidence scientist for the use image studies, cytotoxic drugs, radiotherapy and surgical risks that could be presented in the fetus when being exposed them. The treatment that the patients should receive is multidisciplinary, different specialists’ interactions in its handling the complications or risks that are presented to diminish. The final decision will be made by the parents or in its defect the mother, advised by personnel qualified in to continue with the pregnancy or to interrupt it when it is the case. If the pregnancy has been solved the patient it will be treated with the norms and limits with those that all the patients with cancer of the breast avoiding the maternal nursing when it is indicated. The use of new treatments is not recommended if it is not had scientific evidence of the effects that could be presented in the mother and the fetus when the cancer of the breast it is presented in this circumstance |
