| English abstract | This paper aims to display a panel of origin and main theoretical formulations of Islamic feminism, political-religious movement of fight against oppression and domination over the women's population, present in Muslim countries and in Muslim diasporas. Here conceived broadly as a feminist praxis associated to the reinterpretation of the religious sources of Islam, based on the Islamic concept of ijtihad (free and rational interpretation of religious sources) and tafsir (commentaries on the koran), to rethink the position of women in society Muslim. In this sense, it will be addressed Egypt and Turkey, two key countries in the construction of feminisms in the Middle East |
| Portuguese abstract | O presente artigo tem como objetivo principal apresentar um painel da origem e das principais formulações teóricas do feminismo islâmico, movimento político-religioso de luta contra a opressão e a dominação sobre a população de mulheres presente em países muçulmanos e em diásporas muçulmanas. Ele é concebido aqui lato sensu como uma atuação feminista associada à reinterpretação das fontes religiosas do Islã, baseado nos conceitos islâmicos de ijtihad (interpretação livre e racional das fontes religiosas) e de tafsir (comentários sobre o Alcorão), para repensar a posição da mulher na sociedade muçulmana. Nesse sentido, serão abordados dois países-chave na construção dos feminismos no Oriente Médio, Egito e Turquia |
