| English abstract | This article presents a review of the literature on relative questions to autonomy by the light of the ecological systemic approach, aiming to understand some factors involved with the process of the development of this construction. The proposal of this study was to examine in the literature the concept of autonomy in the adolescence and to identify possible relations between the variables to be considered in the educative process. We start from the principle that the way of thinking and the way of acting are built in the relation with the social economical and cultural context where the individual is developed. It was concluded that we can not understand and explain the development of the autonomy without considering the environment where the process was made |
| Portuguese abstract | Este artigo apresenta uma revisão da literatura sobre questões relativas a autonomia à luz do enfoque ecológico sistêmico, objetivando compreender alguns fatores envolvidos no processo do desenvolvimento de tal construto. A proposta deste estudo foi examinar na literatura o conceito de autonomia dos jovens em relação a seus pais e identificar possíveis relações entre as variáveis internas e externas a serem consideradas no processo educativo. Partimos do princípio de que a forma de pensar e a forma de agir são construídas na relação com o contexto socioeconômicocultural em que o indivíduo se desenvolve. Concluímos que não podemos compreender e explicar o desenvolvimento da autonomia sem considerarmos o ambiente no qual tal processo se constitui |
