| English abstract | This paper is a sinthesis of Barreto, Ricardo Azevedo’s doctoral thesis called “An institutional discourse analysis in dentists’ group: scenes and positions”, which was defended in the University of São Paulo under the supervision of Dr. Guirado, Marlene, Psychology Institute of USP’s Professor. It refers a qualitative study, more specifically an interventional research within the Dentistry, which involved a group of ten dentists, during six meetings of approximately one and a half hour each, about dental practices and the relationships with patients and their companions. We work with a link among psychoanalysis, concrete institutional analysis, French discourse analysis and some Foucault’s thoughts through the method of institutional analysis of discourse. We differ from a vision of group mind so common in the psychological and psychoanalytic fields. We understand a group as a discursive institution that is constituted in the group work in action. Based on the aforementioned perspective, an analysis in group was carried out concerning the mobility of speech positions of the participants and about the observation of possible movements in the relationships between dentists and clientele. Through our study, we perceived effects in the imaginary and the micropolitics of the relationships in Dentistry. We defended the thesis that the institutional analysis of discourse, derivation of the psychoanalytic approach and a method which has been developed by Marlene Guirado, is a fruitful thinking strategy for beyond the interviews, its more usual modus operandi, particularly for the analytic group work |
| Portuguese abstract | Este artigo é uma síntese da tese de doutorado de Ricardo Azevedo Barreto, intitulada Uma análise institucional do discurso em grupo com dentistas: cenas e posições, e defendida na Universidade de São Paulo, sob a orientação da professora Dra. Marlene Guirado, do Instituto de Psicologia da USP. Trata-se de um estudo qualitativo, mais especificamente uma pesquisa-intervenção na odontologia, por meio de um grupo com dez dentistas, durante seis encontros de aproximadamente uma hora e meia cada um, sobre as práticas odontológicas e as relações com os pacientes e seus acompanhantes. Trabalhamos com uma articulação da psicanálise com a análise de instituições concretas, a análise do discurso francesa e as contribuições de Michel Foucault, por meio do método da análise institucional do discurso. Diferenciamo-nos de uma concepção de mentalidade grupal, comum nos meios psicológicos e psicanalíticos. Compreendemos um grupo como uma instituição discursiva, constituída no fazer grupal em ato. A partir de tal perspectiva, foi construída uma análise em grupo no que se refere à mobilização nos posicionamentos discursivos dos participantes e ao acompanhamento de possíveis movimentos nas relações entre dentistas e clientela. Com nosso trabalho, foi possível perceber efeitos no imaginário e na micropolítica das relações na odontologia, defendendo a tese de que a análise institucional do discurso, desdobramento da abordagem psicanalítica e método que vem sendo desenvolvido por Marlene Guirado, é uma estratégia de pensamento profícua para além das entrevistas, seu modus operandi mais habitual, particularmente para o trabalho analítico grupal |
