| English abstract | The participation of psychologists in hospitals and health institutions has been increasing significantly. These professionals have been working with patients in wards, ICU, emergency rooms, and so on. Consequently, the various fields of knowledge that exist in the complex range of Psychology are required to provide answers and tools for psychological support of health professionals, and mainly of hospitalized patients. Thus, this paper proposes a reflection on how psychoanalysis can help in the contact with patients, once it offers a number of recommendations regarding the setting, contract and the contact with the patient, besides that, it enables the management of major affective aspects that may further destabilize the sick person, who is usually emotionally fragile by one clinical condition. The text mentions a brief history of the incursion of Psychology and Psychoanalysis in the health field, highlighting a fertile field, and then discusses the use of the main psychoanalytic techniques in patient care on the wards. It concludes that psychoanalytic work is possible in such an environment, since some techniques are adjusted and comply with some minimum conditions such as listening, attention to transference processes and, above all, concern about the role of subject the patient should play |
| Portuguese abstract | Vem aumentando significativamente a participação de psicólogos em hospitais e instituições de saúde junto a pacientes em enfermarias, UTIs, pronto-socorro, entre outros espaços hospitalares. Consequentemente, os diversos campos de saber presentes no complexo leque da psicologia são requisitados para fornecer respostas e oferecer instrumentos para o suporte psicológico de profissionais de saúde principalmente de pacientes hospitalizados. Dessa forma, o presente trabalho se propõe a refletir sobre a forma como a psicanálise pode ajudar no contato com os pacientes, uma vez que ela dispõe de uma série de recomendações no que diz respeito ao setting, contrato, contato com o paciente, além de possibilitar o manejo de importantes aspectos afetivos que podem desestabilizar ainda mais um enfermo, já fragilizado emocionalmente por causa de sua condição clínica. O texto faz um breve histórico da incursão da psicologia e da psicanálise no campo da saúde, evidenciando um campo fértil de atuação e em seguida discute o uso das principais técnicas psicanalíticas no atendimento a pacientes em enfermarias. Conclui-se que o trabalho psicanalítico é possível em tal ambiente, desde que algumas técnicas sejam adequadas e se respeitem algumas condições mínimas tais como a escuta, a atenção aos processos transferenciais e, acima de tudo, a preocupação com o lugar de sujeito que o paciente deve ocupar |
