| English abstract | This paper deals with, from a psychoanalytical focus, one of the forms of the manifestation of situation designated in psychiatry as “encopresis”: “evacuation in one’s clothing”. Based on a perspective that, from the unconscious point of view the subject is always responsible, we emphasize that because the acquisition of hygiene still depends upon biological aspects, it is the (unconscious) choice of the subject in view of the demand of the Other. Thus, based upon this understanding and some fragments of the discourse of the parents of these children, we have produced some considerations regarding this symptom and its treatment through psychoanalysis, showing how the boys whom we have assisted who presented this situation displayed a narcissistic posture, by not ceding the feces object in favor of love of the Other |
| Portuguese abstract | Este trabalho aborda, desde um enfoque psicanalítico, uma das formas de manifestação do quadro designado em psiquiatria pelo termo “encoprese”: “evacuação nas roupas”. Partindo da perspectiva de que, do ponto de vista inconsciente, o sujeito é sempre responsável, destacamos como a aquisição da higiene, ainda que dependa de aspectos biológicos, é resultado de uma escolha (inconsciente) do sujeito diante da demanda do Outro. A partir dessa leitura e de alguns fragmentos de discurso dos pais dessas crianças, tecemos algumas considerações sobre esse sintoma e seu tratamento em psicanálise, mostrando como os meninos que atendemos com esse quadro apresentavam uma postura narcísica, ao não cederem o objeto fezes em favor do amor ao Outro |
