| English abstract | In January 27, 2014, the tragedy in the Santa Maria’s nigthclub Kiss has completed one year. Despite the 242 casualties and the devastating aftermath to many other youths, the legal suit still lingers in the ins and outs of the Courts with jurisdiction over the trier of fact. This paper comes about as a by-product from the reflections upon this event and seeks to track down the origins of such a tragedy |
| Portuguese abstract | Em 27 de janeiro de 2014 completou um ano da ocorrência da tragédia na boate Kiss, em Santa Maria. Apesar das 242 mortes e devastadoras sequelas em tantos outros jovens, o processo legal ainda se arrasta entre idas e vindas nas instâncias competentes para apurar os fatos. O artigo surge em decorrência de uma reflexão sobre esse episódio e procura encontrar pistas que permitam desvendar as origens de tamanha tragédia |
