| Spanish abstract | El presente artículo revisa las estrategias de ingreso de las escritoras en el campo cultural venezolano en la década de los 50, a partir del estudio del caso particular de la escritora Gloria Stolk. En este sentido, partimos del análisis de las reseñas, críticas y fotos que aparecieron en diarios y revistas venezolanos sobre esta autora, para comprender la recepción que durante este periodo tuvieron tanto su obra como su “personalidad” pública. Ello no sólo nos permite profundizar en las características del campo cultural de la época, sino identificar cómo la escritura plural de Stolk y la posición que la escritora asume en este campo se inscriben en un espacio específico de negociaciones simbólicas. Si bien es una mujer −un sujeto sin duda emergente− quien escribe, lo hace desde una perspectiva que resulta favorable a las exigencias (de modernización cultural) del campo que le abre un espacio de participación |
| English abstract | The present article tries to take a first step in the understanding of the entrance of the Women’s writers in the Venezuelan Cultural Field in the decade of the 50s. For this purpose, we center the study in the particular case of the writer Gloria Stolk. In this respect, we start from the analysis of reviews, critics and photos that appeared in Venezuelan newspapers and magazines about this author, to understand the reception that during this period her work had as much as her "public personality". The selected corpus demonstrates a heterogeneous production that it is developed in parallel from the media and Literature. It not only allows us to deepen in the characteristics of the cultural field of the time, but also to identify how the plural writing of Stolk and the eccentric position that the writer assumes through herself; she registers herself in a specific space of symbolic negotiations. In fact, it is a woman, –a subject without any doubt emergent– who writes; but evidently she does it from a perspective that is favorable to the exigencies(of literary and cultural modernization) from the field that opens a space for participation to her |
