Spanish abstract | En este estudio se reflexiona sobre recientes cambios observados en las relaciones de China con los países vecinos con los que mantiene disputas territoriales terrestres, India y Bután. Posteriormente, se caracterizará la actitud actual de China ante sus vecinos marítimos. En tercer lugar, se relacionan las actuales políticas agresivas del gobierno central contra Hong Kong y Taiwán, y la sistemática política de control de la minoría musulmana en Xinjiang. El análisis resalta las nuevas herramientas diplomáticas de China para enfrentar las amenazas a su seguridad nacional y regional. El estudio concluye con proyecciones sobre los escenarios regionales e internacionales del poderío chino |
English abstract | This study presents reflections on recent changes observed in China’s relations with neighboring countries with which it has land territorial disputes, India and Bhutan. Subsequently, China’s current attitude towards its maritime neighbors will be characterized. Thirdly, the current aggressive policies of the central government against Hong Kong and Taiwan, and the systematic policy of control of the Muslim minority in Xinjiang are related. The analysis highlights China’s new diplomatic tools to deal with its national and regional security threats. The study concludes with projections on regional and international scenarios for Chinese power |
