| English abstract | Jorge Cuesta’s essay work, initially dedicated to art and literature, later encompassed politics and were inserted in the debates about the construction of the idea of nation in the postrevolutionary years. Its reading is, at the same time, a critical testimony of the interest and concerns of the generations that tried to establish the development of contemporary Mexico, but also a reflective source that, from a distance, allows both a historical balance to be made on the ethical and political debates of the author and the validity of his work |
