| English abstract | The Peruvian writer and intellectual Manuel González Prada (1844-1918) was one of the initiators of positivism and anarchism in Peru, and exercised a notable influence on several Peruvian thinkers and writers of the early twentieth century, such as José Carlos Mariátegui, Victor Raúl Haya de la Torre, César Vallejo, Jorge Basadre and others. This paper shows González Prada’s ideas on the relationship between scientific knowledge and political power, framed in a project of social and cultural emancipation |
