| English abstract | This paper analyzes some of the main manifestations of Chilean anti-Americanism during the first half of the twentieth century, with a focus on the interwar period. It is suggested that three main factors motivated anti-US sentiment in Chile during the study period: US interventions in Latin America; close links between Washington and Chile’s international rivals; and the growing US economic influence in the South American country |
