La fotografía reúne características ambivalentes, como su origen romántico-científico, su carácter documental, así como su capacidad para distorsionar lo que representa, engañando al observador. | English abstract | This article proposes the idea that photography, as a medium of representation, is the model used for the construction of La nueva novela (The new novel) by Juan Luis Martinez. Photography joins ambivalent features, such as its romantic-scientific origin, its documental character, as well as its capacity to distort what it represents, deceiving the observer.
