| Spanish abstract | Desde los primeros libros publicados por Jean Paul Sartre se puede observar la crítica que hace el autor francés a la tradición metafísica de occidente, dirigida en específico a filósofos de la modernidad. Por ejemplo, L’Imagination y lo L’Imaginaire son dos textos consagrados a cuestionar “los grandes sistemas metafísicos”.1 Además, en estas primeras investigaciones, Sartre descubre un principio que le permitiría elaborar su obra El ser y la nada ¿Cuál es este principio? Saber cuál es este principio y su importancia en la elaboración del Ser y la Nada, corresponde al objetivo principal de este ensayo. Para lograrlo, se estudiará la crítica que hace Sartre a filósofos de la modernidad (Descartes y Hume) y su propuesta para superar, lo que en palabras del mismo Sartre denomina: “metafísica ingenua de la imagen” (1978, p. 9), que no es más que el hecho de cosificar a la imagen. |
| English abstract | From the first books published by Jean Paul Sartre, it is possible to observe the criticism that the French author makes of the metaphysical tradition of the West, directed specifically at philosophers of modernity. For example, L'imagination and L'Imaginaire are two texts dedicated to questioning “the great metaphysical systems”. Furthermore, in these early investigations, Sartre discovers a principle that would allow him to elaborate his work Being and nothingness. What is this principle? The main objective of this essay is to determine this principle is and its importance in the elaboration of Being and nothingness. In order to achieve this purpose, I will analyze Sartre's criticism of modern philosophers (Descartes and Hume) and his proposal to overcome what Sartre himself calls: the “naive metaphysics of the image” (1978, p. 9), which is nothing more than the fact of reifying the image. |
