| Spanish abstract | El artículo ofrece una visión general sobre el dilatado proceso de reforma del Estado en México. En ese sentido, el trabajo tiene tres propósitos: el primero es exponer brevemente el largo camino andado por este proceso de reforma; en segundo lugar, resaltar los avances y ausencias en torno a dicha reforma; y finalmente, analizar la actual propuesta de reforma política que se debate en el Congreso mexicano. El argumento que lo guía es que a pesar de los avances innegables en el proceso de reforma de las instituciones, no se ha modificado la organización del gobierno ni se ha avanzado en la modernización de la relación entre poderes |
| English abstract | This article offers a general vision about the expanded process related to the Reform of the Mexican State. In this sense, this work has three main goals. First, to expose briefly the long way followed towards the process of the State Reform. Second, to highlight the advances and deficiencies concerning to the State Reform. Finally, to analyze the current proposal of political reform now debated in the Mexican Congress. The main argument that guides this paper is that in spite of the undeniable advances in the process of institutional reform, the governmental organization has not been modified neither advanced in the modernization associated to the relation between powers |
