| Spanish abstract | Los depositarios del ejercicio del supremo poder ejecutivo de la Unión, nombre que confiere el artículo 80 de la Constitución Política de los Estados Unidos Mexicanos a los presidentes de la república, están obligados a escuchar al pueblo. Durante su campaña para ocupar tal cargo y mientras lo desempeñan se desgañitan para enarbolar el compromiso de hacerlo. Sin embargo, el pueblo se considera poco atendido aun expresándose a gritos. Un cúmulo exorbitante de tareas intrascendentes consumen un tiempo considerable de las actividades presidenciales, muchas destinadas a incrementar sus niveles de popularidad y a “cuidar su imagen”. A la omnipresencia presidencial se suma también el cerco de colaboradores, familiares, amigos y poderosos. Por ende, hay descuido de tareas fundamentales para los habitantes del país. Desafortunadamente hasta ahora sólo cuando el pueblo se rebela se hace escuchar por los gobernantes. La eliminación de los factores silenciadores del pueblo permitirá escuchar su voz libre para asegurar su dignidad fundada en su mejoramiento económico, social y cultural |
| English abstract | The Custodians of the Exercise of the Executive Authority of the Union, name given in the 80th article of the Political Constitution of the United States ofMexico to the presidents of the Republic, are obligated to listen to the Mexican citizens. During their campaign to occupy such appointment and during their governance they strive to exhibit their commitment to listen to the people. Yet, citizens feel themselves hardly listened to, even when they become forced to cry out for attention. An excessive wealth of unimportant tasks accounts for a considerable amount of the presidential activities, many destined to increase the president’s popularity levels and to “take care of his image”. In addition to the presidential omnipresence, there exists a wall comprised by collaborators, family members, friends and powerful people. As a result, there is negligence in the undertaking of tasks that are fundamental for the inhabitants of México. Unfortunately, it is only when people rebel that governors listen to them. The elimination of people silencers will allow for their voice to be listened to; thus affirming the Mexican citizens dignity on the basis of their economic, social and cultural growth |
