| Spanish abstract | En este trabajo reflexiono sobre la noción de bien común en el contexto de la gestión del agua, haciendo una revisión del surgimiento del término y su utilización en diferentes campos para luego entender su uso por parte de agricultores y funcionarios públicos, en el Valle de Quíbor, Venezuela. Para ello parto de la perspectiva de la psicología social discursiva, de cuño construccionista, aproximándome a una comprensión de las nociones de matriz e interfase social y, a partir de las prácticas discursivas de los interlocutores y de documentos de dominio público, comprender los sentidos que se le atribuyen al agua. Los relatos y documentos otorgan la propiedad del agua a todos los venezolanos, mostrando sentidos diversos sobre dicha propiedad. | English abstract | This article discusses the notion of common goods in the water management context, reviewing the term’s origins and its use in different fields in order to understand its use by farmers and government officials in the Quibor Valley, Venezuela. The work begins with a discursive social psychology perspective of a socio-constructionist stamp, approaching an understanding of the notions of matrix and social interphase and, based on discursive practices of the interlocutors and public domain documents, seeks to understand the meanings attributed to water. The narratives and documents bestow the ownership of water on all Venezuelans, indicating different meanings about this property.
