| Spanish abstract | El presente ensayo desarrollado en el marco de las organizaciones, tiene como objetivo ofrecer una serie de reflexiones y respuestas vinculadas con la psicología cognitiva, específicamente con los sesgos y mapas cognitivos de los individuos y la relación con su actuación dentro de la organización. Así, éstos se configuran en la mente como representaciones acerca de las percepciones que tienen del mundo que los rodea, y se convierten, a su vez, en guías o sistemas de orientación simplificadas de su comportamiento y del proceso de toma de decisiones en los cuales están involucrados, sobre todo en aquellas circunstancias de alta incertidumbre y complejidad. En este sentido, creemos que para comprender cómo los gerentes y directivos crean las estrategias y toman las decisiones para alcanzar los objetivos organizacionales, es necesario explorar y conocer mejor cómo tienen lugar sus procesos cognitivos. Para ello, y de acuerdo a la naturaleza de esta investigación, se recurrió a diferentes fuentes bibliográficas del área de la psicología cognitiva y de la teoría de la organización que abordan el tema organizativo desde una perspectiva cognitiva |
| English abstract | This essay is developed within the framework of organizational theories, and has the objective of developing a set of ideas and research questions with respect to cognitive psychology; specifically the work has to do with the biases and cognitive maps of the individuals, and the relation with their behavior in the organization. Consequently, their cognitive maps represent their perceptions of the world surrounding them. At the same time, they turn into guides or simplified orientation systems of their behavior and of the decision-making processes in which they are involved, mainly in circumstances of high uncertainty and complexity. In this respect, in order to understand how managers and executives create strategies and make decisions regarding the organizational objectives, we think that it is necessary to explore and know better how the cognitive processes take place in the individual. With this purpose and in agreement with the nature of this research, we have revised both cognitive psychology and organizational literature, which deal with the organizational subject from a cognitive perspective |
