| English abstract | The work responds to a necessity of the country and the university, as such, for the student's comprehensive formation, in the fulfillment of the university social function, a challenge for the educators, for being a process of development of the young people´s potentialities, when being formed as human beings and citizens, able to implicate in their own formation, to fulfill their duties and assume their rights; it includes the vision of the social participation as a value, and it provides information about the knowledge and affective disposition of a sample of the teaching staff to develop the formative work regarding that value. |
| Spanish abstract | El trabajo responde a una necesidad del país y de la propia universidad para la formación integral del estudiante en el cumplimiento de la función social universitaria, reto para los educadores, por tratarse de un proceso de desarrollo de las potencialidades de los jóvenes, al formarse como seres humanos y ciudadanos, capaces de comprometerse con su propia formación, cumplir con sus deberes y asumir sus derechos; incluye la visión de la participación social como valor y aporta información acerca del conocimiento y disposición afectiva de una muestra de docentes para desarrollar la labor formativa respecto a ese valor. |
