| Spanish abstract | Durante los años setenta se produce una gran variedad de testimonios fotográficos de contenido social producto de un entorno volátil caracterizado por las reivindicaciones sociales principalmente estudiantiles y campesinas, influidas por causas tan diferentes como la internacionalización económica, el desarrollo de la educación superior, la revolución cubana y la guerra del Vietnam. l a imagen del campesino, recurrente en la fotografía colombiana desde inicios del siglo XX, toma un renovado impulso en este periodo. Este ensayo traza una genealogía biográfica e iconográfica del desarrollo de la fotografía campesina a través de un somero análisis de los trabajos de Luis Benito Ramos, Nereo López, Abdú Eljaiek, Efraín García y Jorge Mario Múnera |
| English abstract | Documentary and social photography grows in Colombia during the 70s due to the violent social development that the country suffered. Influenced by the Cuban revolution, the Vietnam war, the economic growth and the development of education, students and peasants leads the struggles for a social change. During the 70s the peasant, an icon of Colombian photography since the early XX Century, is re taken. This essay traces a brief genealogy of this subject, analyzing the works of Luis Benito Ramos, Nereo López, Abdú Eljaiek, Efraín Garcia and Jorge Mario Múnera |
