| Spanish abstract | Este artículo se basa en los últimos cincuenta años de arte argentino vinculado, particularmente, con el discurso de la biología y el uso de la tecnología. Esta visión se inicia con la creación del Instituto Di Tella y, posteriormente, la del del Centro de Arte y Comunicación, y culmina con la producción actual de obras desarrolladas en el marco de la vida artificial y el bioarte. | English abstract | This study is based on the last fifty years of Argentinean art related to topics of biology and the use of technology. This vision begins with the founding of the Di Tella Ins - titute and, later, the Centre for Art and Communication (where the incorporation of new materials and languages was promoted), and considers the production of contemporary works developed in the context of artificial life and bioart. All these topics set the pace for a century marked by the display of biological sciences |
