| Spanish abstract | Este trabajo tiene como objetivo analizar las variables que influyen en las decisiones de la Inversión Extranjera Directa (IED) hacia las Entidades Federativas de México en el periodo de 2005 a 2012. Esto bajo el subparadigma de localización del modelo OLI (Ownership, Location, Internalization). Al respecto, se estima el modelo de Mínimos Cuadrados Ordinarios (MCG) para medir la significancia estadística del impacto de las variables determinantes de la IED que llega a los estados. De acuerdo a los resultados del modelo, se concluye que los tamaños de mercado, los niveles de educación, la infraestructura de agua, carretera, telefonía y los niveles de actividad manufacturera generan un impacto positivo y estadísticamente significativo en los flujos de IED hacia las Entidades Federativas |
| English abstract | The objective of this work is to analyze the variables that influence the decisions of Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) toward the Federative Entities of Mexico in the period from 2005 to 2012. This is done under the sub-paradigm of localization of the OLI model (Ownership, Location, Interna-lization). In this regard, the Ordinary Least Squares Model (CMM) is estimated to measure the statistical significance of the impact of the determining variables of the FDI that reaches the states. According to the results of the model, it is concluded that market sizes, education levels, water infrastructure, highway, telephony and manufacturing activity levels generate a positive and statistically significant impact on FDI flows to the Federative Entities |
