| Spanish abstract | El presente texto investiga la concepción de lo político subyacente a la reconstrucción arendtiana de la polis griega. El argumento central es que tal retorno al pasado tiene por finalidad cuestionar las alternativas políticas ofrecidas por las variegadas corrientes contemporáneas del liberalismo político, las cuales reducen el político a la dimensión de lo jurídico. De manera distinta, pienso que Arendt bosqueja una concepción democrática radical situada más allá del modelo de las democracias realmente existentes. Para mostrar que el intento de Arendt no ha sido la construcción de un modelo teórico normativo y utópico de lo político, aislado de las experiencias políticas efectivas de nuestro tiempo, procuro establecer una rápida comparación entre el legado teórico-político arendtiano y las experiencias políticas radicales de los nuevos colectivos políticos españoles dedicados a la discusión y a la acción política directa, mencionando el caso del colectivo catalán Espai en blanc (Espacio en blanco) |
| English abstract | The present text investigates Arendt’s conception of the political underlying her theoretical reconstruction of the Greek polis. My main argument is that Arendt’s return to the past aims to question the political alternatives offered by many contemporary currents of political liberalism, which tend to reduce the political to the domain of the juridical. Distinctively, I think that Arendt outlines a radical conception of democracy that is to be situated beyond the model of our existing democracies. In order to show that Arendt’s aim was not that of elaborating a theoretical normative and utopian conception of the political, far removed from actual political experiences of our time, I establish a brief comparison between her political theoretical legacy and the radical political experiences of the new Spanish political collectives dedicated to political discussion and to direct political action, as in the case of the Catalan collective Espai en blanc |
