| English abstract | The violence in contemporary Brazilian films is a recurring subject and it has been supporting the conception of different violence-images. The most constant of them is the violence as action-image. In this article, I study the pattern in three films that construct action-images, aiming to comprehend its basic structure. I observe that the films are built with a division of two spheres, protagonism and ambience. The films clearly define and distinguish the two spheres and explore the conflict between them to generate the tension in the image. I analyze the relation between the refereed spheres and propose that the relation between them occur according to the logic of approaching and detaching. I also observe that the resolution of this logic occur through the strengthening of the detaching between the spheres and for an option for in transit endings, that only partially solve the conflict in the image |
| Portuguese abstract | A violência no cinema brasileiro contemporâneo é tema recor - rente e tem ensejado a concepção de diferenciadas imagens- violência. A mais constante delas é a violência como imagem- ação. Neste artigo analiso padrões em três filmes que concebem imagens-ação, para compreender sua estrutura básica. Observo que os filmes são concebidos sobre a polaridade de dois planos, protagonismo e ambiência. Os filmes fazem questão de delimitar claramente a distinção entre os planos e explorar o conflito entre eles como forma de gerar tensionamento na imagem. Analiso a relação entre os planos mencionados e proponho que entre eles há uma lógica de aproximação e afastamento. Observo, ainda, que o desfecho desta lógica ocorre pelo fortalecimento da separação entre os planos e a opção pelos finais em trânsito, que apenas parcialmente resolvem os conflitos na imagem |
