| English abstract | The aim of this paper is to analyze the new geography that presents the graffiti in the city of Rio de Janeiro, due to the legal apparatus regulating their practice in this space. It seeks to analyze how the graffiti is produced in the city; unravel the aesthetic dimension that graffiti starts to present; identify the intentions of subjects involved in the landscape configuration and logic that defines the location of these artistic productions; understand the tensions generated in the public space of the city fro m the regulation of graffiti |
| Portuguese abstract | O objetivo geral deste artigo é analisar a nova geografia que o graffiti apresenta na cidade do Rio de Janeiro, em virtude dos aparatos legais que regulamentam sua prática nesse espaço. Dessa forma , busca - se analisar a maneira como o graffiti é produzido na cidade; desve ndar a dimensão estética que esse graffiti passa a apresentar; identificar as intencionalidades dos sujeitos envolvidos na configuração da paisagem e na lógica que define a localização dessas produções artísticas; compreender as tensões geradas no espaço p úblico da cidade a partir da regulamentação do graffiti |
