| Spanish abstract | En este texto se examinan algunos rasgos que distinguen la investigación científica: el rigor, la disciplina, la sistematización, confrontándolos con las cualidades de las búsquedas que hacen los artistas en el campo de la creación plástica. La expresión investigacióncreación se presenta como un nombre que se ha adoptado recientemente desde las instituciones y la academia, adecuado para referirse a los procesos que se desarrollan en el terreno creativo. Se sugiere la necesidad de reevaluar la posición intransigente de las instituciones y de las academias que se mantienen rígidas y apáticas frente a la tarea de validar y apoyar las búsquedas de los artistas y finalmente se considera el papel fundamental que deben cumplir los creadores como mediadores, divulgadores y curadores del arte contemporáneo |
| English abstract | In this text, features that distinguish scientific research are examined: rigor, discipline, systematization, confronting them with the qualities of inquiries done by the artist at the field of plastic creation. The expression creation-research is presented as a recently adopted name taken from institutions and the academy, as a suitable name to refer to processes developed in the creation field. It is suggested the need of over evaluate institution’s and academies’ intransigent view that maintain inflexible and apathetic faced to the task of validating and to supporting artist’s inquiries and, finally, it is considered the fundamental role that creators must fulfill as contemporary art mediators, promoters, and curators |
