| Spanish abstract | Se analiza la industria del etanol y sus perspectivas en México, partiendo de cuantificar la oferta, los costos de producción, la demanda y el precio. Utilizando como insumos la caña de azúcar, el maíz, la remolacha, la yuca y el sorgo, así como las diferentes tecnologías maduras, se analiza la viabilidad económica para México. Los resultados se contrastan con la infraestructura institucional existente, compuesta por las leyes, normas y programas, aprobados recientemente. Se concluye que el gobierno de México debe promover la producción de etanol a partir de tecnologías de segunda y tercera generación, invirtiendo amplios recursos en investigación y desarrollo, desde cultivos energéticos no alimenticios que no pongan en riesgo la soberanía alimentaria |
| English abstract | There is analyzed the industry of the ethanol and his perspectives in Mexico, dividing of quantifying the offer, the costs of production, the demand and the price. Using as inputs the sugar cane, the corn, the re-liked one, the yucca and the sorghum, as well as the different mature technologies, the economic viability is analyzed for Mexico. The results are confirmed by the institutional existing infrastructure composed by the laws, procedure and programs, approved recently. One concludes that the government of Mexico must promote the production of ethanol from technologies of the second and third generation, inverting wide resources in research and development, from energetic not nourishing cultures that do not put in risk the food sovereignty |
