| English abstract | Mobility is a crucial issue for urban residents since it is a mean to access goods and services that the city offers, therefore, the right to the city. A quantitative methodological approach was employed by estimating three indices: location quotient, Gini coefficient, and an accessibility index. The results show that the BRT has had amarginal impact, in terms of accessibility and the right to the city, for residents living in the city"s periphery. |
| Spanish abstract | La movilidad es un tema fundamental para los habitantes urbanos, su implementación permite acceder a bienes y servicios que hacen más asequible el derecho a la ciudad. En esta investigación se emplea una metodología cuantitativa por medio de tres índices: cociente de localización, el cociente de Gini y el índice de accesibilidad para analizar los impactos socioespaciales de la implementación del Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) en Ciudad Juárez. Los resultados muestran que el BRT tuvo un impacto marginal en la accesibilidad y el derecho a la ciudad de una gran parte de la población ubicada en la periferia de la ciudad. |
