| English abstract | This article presents a Bayesian geostatistical model for the analysis of the distribution of the Human Development Index (HDI) at the municipal level in Oaxaca, 2010. The model considers fixed effects (covariates: water, drainage and electricity indicators) and spatial effects, which are assumed to follow a conditional autoregressive process. The results indicate that the HDI is influenced by spatial factors. Furthermore, groupings of municipalities were identified that allowed to know the distribution of the HDI in the state. This confirms the need to consider the spatial factors as a fundamental element in the study of social phenomena. |
| Spanish abstract | En este artículo se presenta un modelo geoestadístico bayesiano para el análisis de la distribución del Índice de Desarrollo Humano (IDH) a escala municipal en Oaxaca, 2010. El modelo considera efectos fijos (covariables: los indicadores de agua, drenaje y electricidad) y efectos espaciales, los cuales, se asume, siguen un proceso autorregresivo condicional. Los resultados indican que el IDH está influenciado por el factor espacial. Además, se identificaron agrupamientos de municipios que permitieron conocer la distribución del IDH en el estado, esto confirma la necesidad de considerar el factor espacial como un elemento fundamental en el estudio de fenómenos sociales. |
