| Spanish abstract | En este trabajo abordamos un ritual festivo común en la vida de muchas jovencitas yucatecas: la fiesta de XV años. A partir de un estudio etnográfico realizado en la ciudad de Tzimín, y partiendo de un enfoque antropológico, el objetivo fue el de descubrir dentro de los escenarios alternativos recreados en dicha fiesta, las múltiples facetas de la diversidad humana, conductas, valores y expresiones que poseen una gran carga simbólica. El estudio de esta celebración nos permite acceder a la subjetividad de los individuos en donde los principales elementos involucrados son el prestigio, el cuerpo y el género |
| English abstract | This paper deals with a common ritual event in the lives of many young girls in Yucatán: sweet fifteen parties. Following an ethnographical study conducted in the city of Tzimín, Yucatán, and from an anthropological point of view, the goal was to discover in the alternative scenarios recreated by these festivities the many facets of human diversity, behavior, values and expressions that have a strong symbolic power. The study of these celebrations opens a door into the subjectivity of the individuals, in which the main elements involved are those related to prestige, the body and gender |
