| Spanish abstract | El artículo trabaja una de las narraciones más frecuentadas de Jorge Luis Borges: "Emma Zunz". Indaga los enigmas de la protagonista considerándola una plataforma giratoria en la cual se sitúa el padecimiento del ultraje de una hija asediada entre la muralla de la culpa y la espada de odio vengativo. Despejando esos enigmas es posible entender la afirmación del autor: "la muerte de su padre era lo único que había sucedido en el mundo, y seguiría sucediendo sin fin". Su sacrificio vengativo deja a la protagonista encadenada, congelada para siempre en el odio, sin recibir el castigo de la justicia humana, pero sometida irremediablemente a la mortificación del superyó y la culpa muda |
| English abstract | The article works on one of Jorge Luis Borges' most discussed short stories: "Emma Zunz". It inquires into the protagonist's enigmas, construing her as a rotating platform that frames the insult suffered by a daughter torn between the wall of guilt and the sword of vengeful hatred. By clarifying those enigmas, it is possible to understand why the author says that "her father's death was the only thing that had happened in the world and that would keep on happening without end".Her vengeful sacrifice leaves the protagonist chained, frozen forever in hatred, unpunished by human justice, but inevitably bound to the mortification of the superego and mute guilt |
| Other abstract | L’article se penche sur un des plus fréquentés récits de Jorge Luis Borges, “Emma Zunz”. Les énigmes du personnage principal sont prises comme un plateau tournant où se place la souffrance de l’affront d’une fille harcelée entre le mur de la culpabilité et l’épée de haine vindicative. L’éclaircissement desdites énigmes permet de comprendre ce que dit l’auteur: “la mort de son père était la seule chose qui s’était produite dans le monde et continuerait à se produire indéfiniment”. Son sacrifice vindicatif ligote sa protagoniste, figée à jamais dans la haine, sans jamais obtenir la punition de la justice humaine mais soumise irrémédiablement à la mortification du surmoi et la culpabilité silencieuse |
