| Spanish abstract | El síndrome de anticuerpos antifosfolipídicos es un trastorno autoimmunitario que se considera un estado hipercoagulable y se manifiesta clínicamente con trombosis vascular, morbilidad durante el embarazo o ambos, en conjunto con anticuerpos antifosfolipídicos en el suero del paciente. A pesar de que las manifestaciones cutáneas no se consideran criterios diagnósticos, en estos pacientes tienen prevalencia de 49% y en 30.5 a 45% son la manifestación inicial de la enfermedad, por lo que se describen las manifestaciones dermatológicas asociadas con este síndrome |
| English abstract | The antiphospholipid syndrome is an autoimmune, hypercoagulable state and is characterized clinically with vascular thrombosis or gravid morbidity, in association with persistent presence of antiphospholipid antibodies. Even though cutaneous manifestations are not considered diagnostic criteria, skin lesions in these patients have a prevalence of 49% and in 30.5 to 45% they are the initial sign of disease. This review describes the cutaneous manifestations associated with this disorder |
