| English abstract | The objective of this paper is to defend that students who have some intellectual deficit can elaborate scientific concepts in the area of Mathematics. Obviously, to help the students to attain this, the teacher has to work in a way that can bring a meaningful sense to mathematical contents by the means of adequate games and teaching techniques. The author also discusses that, in order to make learning interesting, it is necessary that the teacher tries to approximate this kind of learning to situations of real life |
| Portuguese abstract | Neste ensaio, a autora defende que os alunos que apresentam déficit intelectual podem elaborar alguns conceitos científicos na área de matemática. Evidentemente, para ajudar os alunos a conseguir isso, o professor deve trabalhar de forma a dar significação e sentido à matemática, utilizando jogos e técnicas devidamente adequadas. Comenta também a autora que, para que a aprendizagem matemática se torne significativa, é preciso que o professor tente aproximar essa aprendizagem às situações da vida real |
