| Spanish abstract | En este trabajo buscamos identificar los elementos culturales que conforman la identidad de los jóvenes de ocho comunidades de Puebla. Para ello se llevó a cabo un muestreo simple aleatorio con mujeres y hombres jóvenes. Se identificó que los y las jóvenes construyen un estilo mediante la apropiación de géneros musicales específicos, la preferencia por ciertos programas de televisión y el uso de ropa que los distingue. También se encontró que los jóvenes rurales han generado una serie de prácticas culturales que han transformado la dinámica de su comunidad |
| English abstract | Rural youth sector has been poorly studied in Mexico. Research addressing the youth issues discussed mainly in urban areas. This paper seeks to identify the cultural elements involved in shaping the identity of rural youthfrom eight communities in the state of Puebla. This was conducted through simple random sampling with young men and women from these communities. As part of the results identified that the young people build a particular style from the appropriation of specific musical genres, the preference for certain television programs and the use of clothing that distinguishes them from the rest of the population. Similarly, we found that rural youth have generated a series of cultural practices that have transformed the dynamics of their community |
