| Spanish abstract | El artículo tiene el objetivo de presentar un análisis a profundidad sobre el debate legislativo desarrollado en la Asamblea Legislativa del Distrito Federal en 2009 acerca de la modificación al Código Civil que haría posible el acceso de las parejas del mismo sexo a la institución matrimonial. El trabajo muestra los términos en los que se expresa la defensa de la doxa del matrimonio y la respuesta que pretende revolucionar dicha representación. Asimismo, se expone la incómoda convivencia entre dos parámetros éticos irreconciliables: los heterónomos y los autónomos. A partir de esta lectura se observa el sentido dado a las instituciones sociales y estatales en su relación con los individuos y su agencia. | English abstract | This paper is an in-depth analysis of the debate that took place in 2009 at the Mexico City legislature around the modifications of the Civil Code that approved same-sex marriage. This analysis shows the terms in which the defense of the doxa and the opposition, that strived to revolutionize the representation of marriage, are expressed and expose the uncomfortable dissent between two irreconcilable ethical parameters: the heteronomous and the autonomous. From this confrontation emerges the meaning given to state and social institutions and their relationship with the individuals and their agency. Furthermore, the study finds evidence of how the country’s history, the fears and ghosts inherited, build a debate that is framed in a global phenomenon |
