| Spanish abstract | El presente trabajo se centra en el proceso de atención por el que transitan seis mujeres que fueron diagnosticadas con Infección por Virus del Papiloma Humano (IVPH) en una institución de salud de tercer nivel de atención de la Ciudad de México. Al ser un estudio de corte cualitativo, basado el método etnográfico y en un análisis desde el enfoque biocultural, el objetivo fue identificar cómo se construyen las trayectorias de atención de las mujeres que asisten a solicitar el servicio de displasias al Hospital General de México (HGM). A partir de los resultados, se observaron las experiencias, microadaptaciones y resignificaciones que surgieron a partir de la IVPH, las afectaciones en la sexualidad y la revaloración del cuerpo propio en tanto abandono y cuidado. La trayectoria de atención ha sido un camino de cuestionamientos, rupturas y modificaciones que confronta a las mujeres con una realidad antes no cuestionada |
| English abstract | This paper focuses on the care process undergone by six women who were diagnosed with Human Papillomavirus Infection (HPV) and attended by a tertiary health care institution in Mexico City. It is a qualitative study based on the ethnographic method, along with an analysis carried out using a biocultural approach, the objective being to identify how the care trajectories of these women who were attended to by way of the dysplasia service provided by the General Hospital of Mexico (HGM). Using the results, the experiences, micro-adaptations and resignifications that emerged from the HPV, the affectations regarding sexuality, and the reevaluation of their own bodies were observed both during the ‘abandonment’ and ‘in care’ phases. The trajectory of the care provided has followed a path of questions, ruptures and modifications, which confront women with a reality that was not previously questioned |
