| Spanish abstract | El presente artículo presenta una aproximación analítica a diversas transformaciones registradas en el ámbito político a partir de la pandemia de Covid-19 en la Sierra Tarahumara. Primero se da cuenta de las decisiones colectivas asumidas por comunidades ralámuli1 y ódami en materia de prevención. En segundo lugar se ponen de manifiesto los retos y dificultades que viven los pueblos indígenas para garantizar sus derechos políticos en el ámbito de la pandemia. Por último, el artículo identifica diferentes concepciones culturales sobre la nueva enfermedad entre la población indígena y la no indígena que evidencian distintas configuraciones culturales en torno a la salud-enfermedad, la vida y la muerte. |
| English abstract | This article presents an analytical approach to several transformations registered in the political sphere due to the Covid-19 pandemic in the Sierra Tarahumara. First, it renders an account of the collective decisions made by the Ralámuli and Ódami communities regarding prevention. Secondly, the challenges and difficulties faced by indigenous peoples in guaranteeing their political rights in the context of the pandemic are highlighted. Finally, the article identifies the different cultural conceptions regarding the new disease, among both the indigenous and non-indigenous populations, thus highlighting the different cultural configurations in relation to health-disease and life and death issues. |
