| Spanish abstract | La obra de Andrés Bello (1781-1865) se caracteriza por su complejidad y por la diversidad de temas que fueron objeto de su interés, que incluyeron la gramática, la literatura, el derecho, la política, la filosofía, resultado de su motivación por conocer, reflexionar e indagar. Su obra filosófica más importante es la Filosofía del entendimiento (publicada en 1881), que se aproxima desde la epistemología a problemáticas trascendentales como las del conocimiento, las ideas, la memoria, la razón. La reflexión de Bello implica una nueva visión latinoamericana y en la actualidad comienza a ser estudiada no sólo desde la filosofía, sino por disciplinas como la psicología y la neuropsicología |
| English abstract | The work of Andrés Bello (1781-1865) is characterized by its complexity and the diversity of themes that were of his interest, which included Grammar, Literature, Laws, Politics and Philosophy, and resulted in his enthusiasm to find out, to reflect and to research. His most important philosophical work is Philosophy of the Understanding (published in 1881), which approaches transcendental issues like knowledge, ideas, memory and reason, taking Epistemology as starting ground. Bello’s thoughts denotes a new Latin American vision that is currently starting to be studied, not just from Philosophy but also from disciplines like Psychology and Neuropsychology |
