English abstract This article will examine the construction of utopia in Abderrahmane Sissako’s Bamako (2006). In this film, the filmmaker uses a particular cinematographic dispositif which allows him to rewrite the present and, by doing so, to invent the future through the transfiguration of speech and power. In order to demonstrate this hypothesis, the analysis will be lead in two movements. First, we’ll describe the cinematographic dispositif in the light of utopia. Then we’ll discuss the political effect of its essential elements, namely space and acts of speech, and the kind of political commitment that is at stake in the film
